Quintain announces today that Angus Dodd, Chairman of Quintain, will become Chief Executive with effect from 27 June 2016. Max James is stepping down as Chief Executive but will continue to work as a consultant to the business.
Mr Dodd is currently Chairman of Quintain, and a Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of European Real Estate at Lone Star. Olivier Brahin, President of Lone Star in Europe, will become Chairman of Quintain. Simon Carter, who joined Quintain from British Land in 2015, will remain as Chief Financial Officer.
Quintain’s senior team has also been strengthened by the appointment as Senior Advisers to the board of Sir David Higgins, an internationally acknowledged expert in large scale infrastructure and regeneration programmes, and Professor Ricky Burdett, a world renowned authority on urban planning and design.
Angus Dodd said:
“I am delighted to be taking over as Chief Executive at such a pivotal moment for the business following the recent approval of a new Masterplan for Wembley Park by Brent Council. I look forward to leading the continuing transformation of Wembley Park, one of Europe’s biggest regeneration projects.
Quintain is committed to playing a key part in the next phase of the development of this unique part of London. This includes building new and affordable homes for sale as well as for rent, through Tipi, our PRS management business. The new homes will be complemented by an exciting and attractive mix of cultural, performance, sport, play, public realm, office and retail spaces.
I am committed to working in partnership with the many important local stakeholders at Wembley Park, and continuing Quintain’s positive and constructive relationship with these parties to ensure that they all benefit from our investment in Wembley Park.
I would like to pay tribute to Max, who, over the last five years, has led Quintain’s revitalisation. He has rationalised the business, created an exciting platform for growth and brought Wembley Park to life as a thriving new district for London. He leaves as Chief Executive with our very best wishes and I’m pleased he will remain on as a valued consultant”.
Max James said:
“It has been a privilege to lead Quintain during the last five years and I am proud of our achievements as a team during that time. We have undergone a major transformation and laid the foundations for Wembley Park to become one of the most dynamic and exciting regeneration projects in Europe."
“It has been a real pleasure working with the Lone Star team and I feel now is the right time to step down as Chief Executive after five years. I want to thank all employees for all their support, hard work and dedication, and I look forward to working closely with Angus, Olivier and the rest of the Board to ensure the continued success of Quintain, especially Wembley Park”.
